Kristin Roberts, MBA/TM, EA
Kristin is the innovative President and founder of The Roberts Tax Group, a consulting firm specializing in tax and management practices of corporations, not-for-profit entities and individuals. Her expertise has led her more than fifteen year profession in consulting to companies in order to enable them to achieve administrative, financial, personal and organizational excellence.
Clients have recognized Kristin’s entrepreneurial spirit as she creatively and proficiently consults to small and medium sized businesses as well as individuals. She advises clients in small business start-ups, business sales and dissolution, financial controls, accounting, budgeting, purchasing, forecasting, tax preparation and planning that enable them to streamline operations for maximum results.
Kristin is considered a highly qualified tax professional with over fifteen years of experience representing clients before federal and state tax agencies. In her comprehensive tax practice, Kristin concentrates on preparation of all federal and state tax returns, amended returns, payroll taxes, tax planning, audit representation as well as Offers In Compromise.
As a trainer in organization development, Kristin’s energetic approach and accomplished problem-solving methods have guided organization in managing change, leadership development and human relations training. She has worked with all levels of management and front-line employees in both business and not-for-profit organizations. She designs and institutes on-site customer training and classroom teaching in business management, computerized financial software, stress management in small businesses, and small business start-up.
Kristin holds a Masters in Business Administration and Technology Management from The University of Phoenix. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Charter Oak College. Kristin earned her Enrolled Agent (EA) designation from the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled Agents are the only tax professional certified and licensed by the Internal Revenue Service to represent taxpayers before the IRS. Unlike CPA’s or attorney’s, Enrolled Agents always specialize in taxation and can practice anywhere in the United States.
In her work, Kristin integrates her knowledge with her extensive experience designing and facilitating processes for people to come together to accomplish their objectives. This offers her clients the opportunity to create exceptional solutions for their most critical issues, maximize peoples’ skills and talents, and align organizational systems to most fully achieve organizational potential.
Kristin is affiliated with a variety of professional organizations as a member in good standing. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals. She also serves as a State Volunteer fielding calls from other tax professionals around the country. She has written many tax related articles that have appeared in national tax publications. Kristin has been a guest on Fox Business News discussing the impact the current economy has on the small business owner and individual taxpayer. In her “spare time” she is also an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Taxation at Post University.
